Via Negativa

Dan, a young priest who has abandoned his conservative diocese after learning of the death of his estranged friend, Paul. Struggling with a deep crisis of faith, he embarks on a journey to find the older priest who once abused Paul during their time in seminary. With a wounded coyote in the back of his car, Dan drifts through the American landscape, encountering eccentric travelers, stealing a gun and other assorted trophies, singing Prince songs and stopping at roadside attractions.
